Alignment. Strength. Posture.

Your body holds deep wisdom. Trust in it. Learn from it. Nourish it. Watch your life transform and be healthy. --Bella Bleue

Treatments consist of a combination of manual physical therapy, cranioSacral therapy, therapeutic exercise and patient education dependent on the patient’s diagnosis. Treatments are customized to the needs of the patient.

Manual Physical Therapy
A hands-on approach to physical therapy whereby joint and soft tissue restrictions are released from the body enabling optimal mobility and function. Several different techniques are utilized, such as joint mobilization, myofascial release, stretching, therapeutic massage, visceral mobilization and cranioSacral therapy.

Myofascial Release
Releases restrictions in the fascial system allowing for freer movement throughout the body. The fascial system is a continuous, laminated connective tissue sheath that spreads throughout the entire body in a three dimensional web. Adhesions can be gently released through the fascial system.

CranioSacral Therapy
A gentle touch approach that enhances the body's natural healing capabilities. This technique helps to improve and enhance the self healing capacity of the body which is naturally present. CST also helps to relax the central nervous system, relieving pain and calming the body. This approach was founded by John Upledger to release restrictions in the cranioSacral system.

Somato-emotional Release
An approach to release emotional energy that may be held in the body from past or current traumas, stresses and strains. By releasing these emotional components, the tissue is better able to rebalance itself on a hormonal, cellular and energetic level to allow for a deeper healing.

Therapeutic Exercise
The goal of therapeutic exercise is to restore and maximize function, so that the patient will be able to return to work, sport, leisure or daily activities of living. Therapeutic exercise will include stretching, strengthening, core strengthening, balance and postural exercises dependent on the diagnosis.

 Patient Education
An important component of a physical therapy session is to educate the patient on the nature of their dysfunction (pain) and the plan to treat the problem.  Patients are provided with a home exercise program, and educated on: pain management, posture, ergonomics, prevention and overall wellness tips.
